Fixings that suit the wall
Brick and block take wall plugs and screws. Plasterboard needs fixings that spread the load, or a fixing into the stud behind it. Older plaster walls need care.
We check what is behind the wall before we drill and choose the fixing to match the weight. On a TV job, tell us the screen size and send a photo of the wall. If you want the cables hidden, say so and we will tell you what your wall allows.

Questions we are often asked
How much does it cost to mount a TV on the wall?
It depends on the screen size, the wall type and how the cables are handled. Send the TV size, a photo of the wall and your postcode on WhatsApp.
Can you mount on brick, plasterboard and stud walls?
Yes. We choose the fixing for the wall and the weight, so a big TV on plasterboard is fixed into the studs or with load-spreading fixings, not just plugs.
Can the cables be hidden?
Often, yes. It depends on the wall and where the sockets are. Tell us how you want it to look and we will say what is possible.
Do you do TV installation as well as mounting?
Yes. Mounting the bracket and the TV, tidying or hiding the cables where the wall allows, and connecting a soundbar or console are all part of a TV installation visit. New sockets behind the TV are done by a registered electrician.
Which bracket do I need for my TV?
It depends on the TV's weight and fixing pattern, and whether you want it flat, tilting or on an arm. We can fit a bracket you have bought, or advise before you buy.
Can you hang heavy mirrors?
Yes. Heavy and large mirrors are a regular job. We use fixings rated for the weight and check they are secure before we leave.
Do you fit curtain poles, tracks and blinds?
Yes, in any room. See the section above for how we fix them.
Will you fill the old holes?
Yes, we can fill and touch up small holes. For a repaint, see painting and decorating.
