Proper filling and prep

Painting and decorating in Manchester

We paint and decorate interiors for homeowners, landlords and tenants across Manchester. Most of what makes a paint job last happens before the first coat, so we fill, sand and seal first.

That covers single rooms and whole homes, and the finishing coats after other work such as new wardrobes, panelling or skirting.

Send photos of the rooms, rough room sizes and your postcode.

What we paint and prepare

  • Walls and ceilings
  • Skirting boards, doors and frames
  • Filling cracks, holes and old fixing marks
  • Sanding, sealing and caulking before painting
  • Feature walls and colour blocking
  • Dust sheets, masking and a tidy finish

How a decorating job works

  1. Scope and colours

You tell us the rooms and the colours. Send photos and rough sizes for a price.

  2. Prepare

Furniture protected, surfaces filled, sanded and sealed, edges masked.

  3. Paint

Coats applied with enough drying time between them, ceilings first, then walls and woodwork.

  4. Tidy and check

Masking removed, the room cleared and the finish checked in daylight with you.

For landlords and tenants

Landlords: we can refresh a flat between tenancies with filling, a full repaint and the small fixes found along the way. Tenants: check with your landlord before painting. We can also restore walls to a neutral colour before you move out.

Questions we are often asked

How much does it cost to paint a room?

Room size, ceiling height, the condition of the walls and the number of coats all change the price. Send photos and rough room sizes on WhatsApp and we will price it.

Do you fill, sand and prepare the walls?

Yes, always. Paint on poorly prepared walls shows every crack and dent, and fails sooner.

Do I supply the paint?

Either works. Tell us when you ask for a price and we will say what is needed.

Can you decorate after other work?

Yes. We paint after new wardrobes, kitchens, panelling or skirting, which is also when decorating is easiest to schedule.

Do you paint ceilings and woodwork?

Yes: ceilings, walls, skirting boards, doors and frames.

Do you decorate for landlords?

Yes. Flats and houses between tenancies, with repairs and decorating done in one visit where possible.
