TV walls and feature walls
Media walls and wall panelling in Manchester
A media wall turns the TV wall into storage and a focal point. A slatted panel wall adds texture and warmth, with or without lighting. We plan and fit both across Manchester.
Media walls are built from storage units fixed to the wall and trimmed to look built in. Slat panels go onto a prepared wall and can take LED strips.
Send a photo of the wall, its rough width and height, and your postcode.

What to send for a price
- A photo of the wall, with the sockets in shot
- Rough width and height of the wall
- Your TV size
- What needs to live in the unit: console, speakers, soundbar, books
- Whether you want the wall painted as part of the job
- Your postcode
Media walls
We plan the wall around your TV size, the height you sit at and what needs to live in the unit: a console, speakers, books, a soundbar. The TV is mounted on the wall and the cables are tidied.
- Low units, tall units and wall cabinets planned to fit the room
- TV mounted and cables tidied (we will say what is possible on your wall)
- Open shelves, glazed doors or built-in lighting
- Trims so the unit sits tight to the walls

Slat wall panelling
Slatted panels give a plain wall depth. We fit oak, walnut and black finishes behind beds, mirrors and TVs, and run LED strips between the slats where you want light.
- Feature walls behind a bed or TV
- Full-wall panelling in open-plan rooms
- LED strip lighting between slats
- Panels cut around sockets, switches and radiators

Electrics
New sockets, spurs and fires are electrical work. Where a media wall needs them, a registered electrician does it and we plan the wall around them.
Finish and decorating
Slat panels come finished. Built units and box-outs are left ready to paint, and we can paint them and the wall around them as part of the job: see painting and decorating.

Questions we are often asked
How much does a media wall cost?
It depends on the size, the units, the finish and any lighting. Send photos of the wall and rough measurements on WhatsApp and we will price it.
Can you build a media wall without a fire?
Yes. A media wall does not need a fire. A storage-led wall with the TV mounted above is common, and it can include shelving and lighting.
What is wall panelling made from?
Slat panels are usually MDF or real wood veneer on a backing. MDF costs less and can be painted. Veneer shows the grain. We will help you choose for the room and budget.
Can I have panelling in a rental?
Panelling is fixed to the wall, so get your landlord's permission first.
How long does it take?
A single feature wall is a shorter job than a full media wall. We give you a timescale with the price.
Can the TV be mounted as part of the job?
Yes. Mounting is part of the work. See TV and wall mounting.
